🚄 Louisiana Hyperloop Team: Pioneering High-Speed Rail
The Louisiana Hyperloop Team is an initiative led by LSU students to tackle the monumental challenge of developing a functional prototype for the Hyperloop—a concept designed for high-speed ground transportation. This effort was initially driven by the open SpaceX Hyperloop Competition.
🎯 The Challenge: Designing the Best Pod
The competition, organized by SpaceX, challenges university students and independent engineering teams to design and build the most efficient and functional Hyperloop pod prototype.
- Objective: To design and construct a scaled Hyperloop pod.
- Knowledge Sharing: The knowledge gained from this collaborative student project is committed to being open-sourced.
- Competition Date: The team was previously targeted to test their pod during a competition weekend in June 2016.
🤝 Collaboration and Industry Support
The team's efforts are supported by various industry and organizational partners.
