CONFERENCE DETAILS:

On behalf of the Eric Voegelin Institute, I’m very pleased to announce a faculty-student conference at Louisiana State University on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27: “Towards Post-Constitutionalism?”  

We begin Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm with a keynote lecture by Charles Kesler, Dengler-Dykema Distinguished Professor of Government at Claremont McKenna College.  Author of several books, Dr. Kesler is longtime editor of the Claremont Review of Books.

Dr. Kesler’s lecture will be held in Dodson Auditorium on the LSU campus, and a reception will follow.  The lecture will be available live via Zoom as well.

On Saturday we will have three sessions, with discussions led by faculty panelists, focusing on different issues related to our topic.  Panels will begin at 10:00 am and will conclude at 3:00 pm. Panelists will include Robert Collins, Professor of Urban Studies and Public Policy, Dillard University; Nancy Maveety, Professor of Political Science, Tulane University; Nathan Pinkoski, Assistant Professor of Humanities, University of Florida; Robert Vipond, Professor of Political Science, emeritus, University of Toronto.  Panels will be held in French House 218, home of the LSU Ogden Honors College.   Lunch will be served to all who register
