Lab at LSU | Facilities

The Maruska lab is housed within the Department of Biological Sciences located in the Life Sciences Building on the Baton Rouge campus of Louisiana State University. The ~1300 sq ft lab is divided into two separate areas:

  1. molecular, histological, computer work station, and general laboratory space, and
  2. microscopy and neurophysiology recording rooms.

A student office and creative relaxation space is also adjacent to the general lab.

Our lab also maintains a ~350 sq ft fish room within the Aquatic Facility of the Life Sciences Building. This room houses our cichlid fish colony, recirculating filtration and monitoring system, and contains a separate room for conducting behavioral experiments.
