Outreach
In addition to training local archaeologists and contributing to capacity building in Peru, my field collaborations actively seek to have a broader impact and develop collaborative outreach and educational initiatives. In consultation with local community leaders including elected officials, school teachers, museum curators, professional archaeologists, landowners, and others, my teams have contributed over the years to raising awareness about archaeology and prehistory, educating non-specialists, protecting cultural heritage, and stimulating an equitable and fair economic development, especially in rural Peru.
Currently, my team is partnering with the Peruvian non-profit organizations Asociación Caminemos Unidos (ACU) and Museo Arqueológico de las Tecnologías Andinas on developing educational workshops and videos in Moro.
