Graduate Students

First, please assess your fit with the lab by visiting our Research page and reading our previous publications. Prospective graduate students should think seriously about graduate school. It is an extremely challenging and time-consuming endeavor; but it can be extremely rewarding. Highly motivated and energetic prospective graduate students with an interest in neurobiology are welcome to apply. Please send a statement of research interests and current CV.

Undergraduate Students

  • Work-Study Position: Students with scholarships or work-study awards that provide support for campus jobs are eligible for part-time employment in the lab.
  • Undergraduate Research Program: Formal enrollment in the upper division course, Biol. 3999 Undergraduate Research in Biological Sciences or Honors Thesis Project. Students are expected to perform actual scientific research in the Undergraduate Research Program. Many students in the past started with the Work-Study Position and switched to the Research Program. Prospective undergraduate researchers should be able to commit a minimum of 2 academic semesters to work in the lab.
