- 2025 Congratulations to Dr. Su for receiving the LSU College of Engineering 2024-2025 Longwell Award for Instructor Excellence.
- In Spring 2024 - CE7405 Statically Indeterminate Structures, Dr. Su introduced advanced manufacturing methods to integrate with structural design and analysis for 3D-printed bridge elements. Final project combining hands-on 3D printing with numerical modeling to understand the effects of the printing process on structural integrity. (Supported by NSF Future Manufacturing Grant.)
Outreach
2025 Congratulations to Rodrick Joseph (High School Student), who worked with us over the summer on Additive Manufacturing, and presented his work in the LSU HSSR Poster competition. Thanks to the support of the NSF Future Manufacturing Grant.
2025 Congratulations to Ted for winning the LSU Discovery Day monetary awards for being among the top five-scoring engineering students in poster presentation! Thanks to the support of the NSF Future Manufacturing Grant.
Engaging middle school students from underserved communities in pursuing STEM-related careers. Dr. Su's group introduced the underwater construction with the hands-on experiments of comparing normal concrete with underwater concrete. Thanks to the support of the NSF Future Manufacturing Grant.
2025 Congratulations to Angie Sanchez (Middle School Student), who worked with Ph.D. student Taj in our group, on the Third Place in the Louisiana Region VII Science & Engineering Fair - Junior Competition (Engineering Technology). (Second from the left) Thanks to the support of the NSF EPSCoR Fellow Grant.
