Dr. Yen-Fang Su
Educator / Innovator / Engineer
Dr. Su joined as LSU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as an Assistant Professor. Prior to joining LSU, he worked at the University of Cambridge as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Engineering. He obtained
his Ph.D. at the Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University. For several years, he has conducted multidisciplinary artificial intelligence, structural
engineering, materials science, additive manufacturing-related research. His primary
research project for his Ph.D. was selected as one of the ASCE GameChanger projects in 2021. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., he obtained his master’s degree in structural engineering
and worked as a structural engineer at SOIC for a few years in Taiwan.
