Research

The research focus of our group is to gain molecular-level insight and hence guiding principles for soft matter systems from gas phase clusters relevant to atmospheric chemistry to the condensed phase (including aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytes, macromolecular self-assemblies, interfacial systems, etc.) that are ubiquitous in biology, energy storage and in industrial processes. A schematic of our research interests is presented below.
