Chemistry Demonstrations
We enjoy sharing our love of chemistry! In June 2018 we had a station at the LSU Girls Day at the Museum event organized by the College of science.
Lab Tours
In January 2018 local Girl Scouts visited the lab for the Girls Do Chemistry event organized by the local chapter of ΙΣΠ, the national honor society for women in chemistry. We also gave lab tours in February 2018 for the Avoyelles Parish Science Day at LSU.
ChemDemos
Callie went to Lee High School, one of two public magnet schools within Baton Rouge, LA. Her ChemDemos explained kinetics, equilibrium & catalysis, as well as oscillating and light producing reactions.
Autumn went to Plaquemine High School in a rural area of Plaquemine, LA. She performed the "Stoichiometry is Fun: Exploding Bubbles" ChemDemo with 10th grade students.
20 years of ChemDemo Celebrations
We celebrated the 20-year anniversary of ChemDemo with quantum fireballs. Thanks Prof. Stanley for spearheading such a successful program!
