CEMG Openings
(Posted in June 2024) Our group is recruiting one PhD student to improve the modeling
of tropical cyclones, with a target start date in January 2025. This is a fully funded research assistant (RA) position with tuition and stipends

Qualifications:
A master or bachelor degree in atmospheric sciences, geography, geophysics, or related
fields
Prior research experience in climate data analysis and/or modeling that is demonstrated
by publications, thesis projects, research project reports, etc.
Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, Fortran, R, or others)
Excellent skills in written and oral English. International applicants may have to
provide evidence of English proficiency (i.e., IELTS ≥ 6.5 or TOEFL ≥ 79) by the
time of application
