Ali Karimi Azandariani
PH.D. Student, 2023 Fall - present
With a background in orthotics and prosthetics and three years of professional experience,
Ali is pursuing a PhD in kinesiology at LSU. His research focuses on patellofemoral
pain, the measurement of muscle mass using advanced imaging techniques like 3D ultrasound
and MRI, and lower extremity biomechanics using motion capture. Outside of academia,
Ali enjoys working out, creating memes, and playing the electric guitar.

Megan Gordon
PH.D. Student, 2024 Fall - present
I am a PhD student in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Motor Behavior. Originally from England, I came to the U.S. to play Division 1 soccer and developed a deep passion for sports science and biomechanics. My interests lie in optimizing athletic performance and reducing injury risks. I also have a strong love for coaching and aspire to build a career that seamlessly integrates research with practical applications to support individuals to reach their full potential.

Charles Scheuermann
M.S. Student, 2025 Summer - present
I am a first-year graduate student enrolled in LSU's Athletic Training Master's program. My research interest is centered upon identifying risk factors for orthopedic injuries that are prominent in athletics. I hope to implement our discoveries into my future career as an Athletic Trainer!
