About Me

Arthur G. Bedeian is a Boyd Professor Emeritus and former Ralph and Kacoo Olinde Distinguished Professor of Management Emeritus at Louisiana State University and A&M College. He has produced over 300 articles, 14 books, 19 edited volumes, 6 collections of autobiographical essays, and 5 films. His work has been translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, Persian, Russian, Spanish, and Thai. He has been recognized with the Richard M. Hodgetts Distinguished Career Award, Ronald G. Greenwood Lifetime Achievement Award, Academy of Management Distinguished Educator Award, Academy of Management Distinguished Service Award, LSU Distinguished Faculty Award, LSU Distinguished Research Master Award, LSU Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Award, and LSU Foundation Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award, among many others. He was named a Boyd Professor, the highest professional recognition that can be awarded an LSU faculty member, in 1996. He has served as President of the Academy of Management, the Foundation for Administrative Research, the Southern Management Association, and the Southeastern Institute for Decision   Sciences. He is a former Dean of the Academy’s Fellows Group, as well as a Fellow of the American   Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Association for   Psychological Science, the International Academy of Management, and the Southern  Management  Association. In addition to being a former editor of Journal of Management, he has served   on 18 journal  editorial boards. He has also served on various government committees, including the
 J.   William  Fulbright Foreign Scholar Board, which he has twice chaired, and as an external or panel   reviewer for the  National Science Foundation, the National Academy of Science, and the National   Research Council of   Canada.
