Welcome to the website of the Brain and Memory Lab at LSU!
As humans, we possess memory systems that are powerful, but also limited and unpredictable. Information that we intend to remember may be quickly lost, and seemingly irrelevant or even undesirable memories sometimes persist. In the BAM Lab, we investigate the neurocognitive processes that govern the formation and use of memories, with the goal of understanding how and when people are able to learn and remember effectively and adaptively.
We incorporate a number of methods into our research, including EEG/ERPs, eye tracking, computational modeling, and the study of populations that experience memory challenges. Please have a look around to learn more about our team, the work we are doing, and how to get involved.
