Research
Research at the LIBRe Lab primarily focuses on the language functions of the human brain. Active studies seek to understand and modulate the function and network organization of human cerebral cortex. Currently, our primary tools are transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which we use in healthy controls and individuals recovering from post-stroke aphasia. We also use cutting-edge analytic procedures applied to functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). The LIBRe Lab collaborates with researchers at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, the Department of Psychology at the University of New Orleans, and the Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine. We are also interested in the potential for new and exciting collaborations! If you are a researcher with overlapping interests, please contact E. Susan Duncan at duncan1@lsu.edu.
