Language Imaging & Brain Research Laboratory
The LIBRe Lab is directed by E. Susan Duncan, PhD, CCC-SLP.
The LIBRe Lab's core mission is to:
- to better understand the neural mechanisms underlying language in the healthy adult brain
- to apply this knowledge to promote successful recovery in acquired language disorders.
We work with healthy adults and individuals with post-stroke aphasia, and we have interest in brain mechanisms involved in a wide variety of behaviors and disorders. Techniques we use include structural/functional magnetic resonance imaging and noninvasive brain stimulation.
