 Chris Hill, PhD 

Chris is an Assistant Professor of Motor Behavior at Louisiana State University. He earned his doctorate in motor behavior from the University of Mississippi. If not in the lab, you can find him at a local coffee shop/craft brewery, taking a long run, or hanging out with his wife (Lizzi) and their three cats (Sherrington, Bitty, Arnie).

Graduate Students

 Leo Barzi, MS

Leo is a graduate student in the Motor Neuroscience Laboratory and is interested in how exercise changes the neural processes of learning. A native of Aurora, Illinois, he joined the lab after earning his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Northern Illinois University. When not in class or the lab, you can find him on the tennis court or riding his bike.

Undergraduate Researchers

Leah Charles

Leah is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and is currently a junior at LSU, studying Kinesiology with a pre-med track. As an undergraduate researcher and scholar, she is deeply interested in motor neuroscience — the way our brains control movement fascinates her, and she’s excited to learn more about it. Outside of school, Leah enjoys trying new foods and visiting new places with family and friends..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kaylie Grimm

Kaylie is an undergraduate researcher in the Motor Neuroscience Lab and is interested in the mechanisms behind acquiring a new motor skill as well as using her research to explore predispositions for neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Originally from Houston, Texas, Kaylie is going into her senior year at Louisiana State University majoring in Biological Sciences, minoring in Psychology with plans to go to medical school. If she’s not in the lab or the library, she enjoys going to the gym, trying new coffee shops, and hanging out with friends.
