Dr. Maji earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He is currently a Senior Research Engineer at RenBio and an incoming tenure-track Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University. His expertise lies in developing in-vitro diagnostic sensors at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineering. His Ph.D. research produced a miniaturized platform for assessing hemostasis from a single drop of blood, and he later worked on Point-of-Care devices for bleeding disorders at Coagulation Sciences. At RenBio, he worked on advancing a platform that uses electroporation and plasmid DNA to produce therapeutic proteins in vivo. Dr. Maji’s work focuses on affordable diagnostic devices and innovative gene therapy solutions, with the goal of shifting healthcare toward early detection and prevention |
