Current Students
Kristen Newell (started School Psych program 2021) earned her B.S. from Louisiana
State University in 2019 and her M.S. from Florida State University in 2021. Kristen
is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® and has provided behavior analytic services in clinical, school, and home settings
since 2018. Her research interests include finding effective ways to teach nonverbal
social skills and increasing independence in activities of daily living for children
with developmental disabilities.
Elizabeth Linton (started School Psych program 2021) earned her B.S. in Psychology
with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from the University of Florida in 2020. Her
research focuses on school-based interventions that target playground safety and on-task
behavior at the individual and class-wide level.
Gabriela Gomes (started School Psych program 2023) earned her B.S in Psychology with
a Minor in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in 2021. Gabriela
graduated with her M.S in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Miami in
May 2023 and has provided behavior analytic services in clinical and school settings
since 2021. Her research interests include identifying early behavior intervention
methods that will better improve the quality of life and preschool readiness for children
with developmental disabilities. She is also interested in identifying factors that
influence parental and teacher adherence to treatment.
Abbie Johnson (started School Psych program in 2023) earned her B.S. from Texas Christian
University in 2020 and her M.A. from Columbia University, Teachers College in 2023.
Abbie has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician in a clinical and home setting
and as a teaching assistant in an elementary school setting. Her research interests
include verbal behavior, classroom management, and academic performance for children
with developmental disabilities.
Brittany Elkins (started BA program in 2024) graduated with her M.S. in Applied Behavior
Analysis from Georgia State University in 2017 and became a Board Certified Behavior
Analyst in 2018. She has provided behavior analytic services in clinic, home, and
preschool settings since 2016. Brittany’s research interests include identifying early
intervention techniques that aid in the development of social and communication skills.
Kayla Greene (started School Psych program in 2024) earned her B.A. in Psychology
from Spelman College in 2014 and her M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Georgia
State University in 2017. Kayla is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has provided
services in home and clinic settings since 2014. Her research interests include exploring
barriers to stakeholder implementation of evidence-based interventions for children
with developmental disabilities and what components of those interventions are necessary
to create the most impactful change for the learner.
