Current Students

Alison RubyAlison Ruby (started program 2019) earned her B.S. from the University of Florida in 2016 and her M.A. from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 under the supervision of Carole Van Camp, PhD., BCBA-D. She interned at the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health in the Severe Behavior Program. Her research interests include preference assessments, such as client and caregiver preference for treatment procedures, as well as translating work done in other fields of psychology into behavior analytic terms and vice versa.

Jensen Chotto headshotJensen Chotto (started program 2019) earned her B.S. in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2019. She completed an undergraduate honors thesis under the supervision of George Noell, PhD, BCBA. She also worked at the Emerge Center in a kindergarten classroom. Her research interests include the assessment and reduction of problem behavior in young children, parent involvement in interventions, and increasing compliance on basic healthcare routines for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  

Kristen NewellKristen Newell (started program 2021) earned her B.S. from Louisiana State University in 2019 and her M.S. from Florida State University in 2021. Kristen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® and has provided behavior analytic services in clinical, school, and home settings since 2018. Her research interests include finding effective ways to teach nonverbal social skills and increasing independence in activities of daily living for children with developmental disabilities.

Elizabeth LintonElizabeth Linton (started program 2021) earned her B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from the University of Florida in 2020. Elizabeth is a Registered Behavior Technician and has worked in the clinic, home, and school setting. Her research experience includes functional analysis and treatment for severe behavior disorders. 

Gabriela Gomes headshotGabriela Gomes (started program 2023) earned her B.S in Psychology with a Minor in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in 2021. Gabriela graduated with her M.S in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Miami in May 2023 and has provided behavior analytic services in clinical and school settings since 2021. Her research interests include identifying early behavior intervention methods that will better improve the quality of life and preschool readiness for children with developmental disabilities. She is also interested in identifying factors that influence parental and teacher adherence to treatment.

 

 

Abbie Johnson headshotAbbie Johnson (started program in 2023) earned her B.S. from Texas Christian University in 2020 and her M.A. from Columbia University, Teachers College in 2023. Abbie has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician in a clinical and home setting and as a teaching assistant in an elementary school setting. Her research interests include verbal behavior, classroom management, and academic performance for children with developmental disabilities.
