Outreach

 

In partnership with the LSU Laboratory School, we host visits of elementary school students to our laboratory to showcase our cool research animals and findings. Furthermore, our young visitors learn about the importance of research in evolution, regenerative biology and the possibilities of a career in science and health care.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have recently established partnership with the Kenilworth Science and Technology School, a local public charter school that serves students from low socioeconomic background. Through its Science Research Mentorship (SRM) program, we will host students that will participate in the design and execution of a research experiment. Interns will present their results to the Kenilworth School wide Science Fair as well as in regional and state science fairs, with assistance and guidance from the PI and his research team).
