My laboratory studies the biology of fibrogenic, adipogenic, and myogenic stem and progenitor cells in the heart, muscle, and adipose tissue and its implication in human health and animal production. We are particularly interested in the epigenetic regulation of the activation and differentiation of these cells in development and pathologenesis.

The two major focuses in my lab now include:

1. Role of Cardiac fibroblasts in cardiac diseases.
2. Depot-specific regulation of adipogenesis.
