My lab investigates the interconnections between natural and social systems. We integrate spatial modeling, entomology and stakeholder engagement to inform ecosystem conservation and climate resilience. Our work often zooms out to look at watersheds that link communities regionally. We also zoom in to look at mosquitoes, ecological indicators of how overlooking landscape management can literally come back to bite us. 

I have worked in a variety of locations but my passion is research that informs the conservation and sustainable development of my island of origin, Puerto Rico and my current home state, Louisiana.
