Research Scope:

Welcome! The Wang research group designs and engineers advanced materials for energy and sustainable technologies. Our research integrates novel materials synthesis, additive manufacturing, and advanced characterizations to create nanostructures with atomic-level precision. A wide set of synthesis methods are used including atomic layer deposition, solution chemistry, sol-gel processing, and electrochemical approaches. Current efforts focus on next-generation rechargeable batteries, electrocatalysts, and photocatalysts for healthcare systems, wearable electronics, space exploration, and grid-scale energy storage.

A fully funded position is available for a Ph.D. student or a Postdoctoral Associate. Candidates with expertise in, or research interests related to, batteries for hybrid/electric vehicles are encouraged to apply, although applicants with related background or interests will also be considered.
