Society for Neuroscience Baton Rouge Chapter Annual Meeting 2025

The Society for Neuroscience Baton Rouge Chapter held its second annual Neuroscience Symposium on April 11, 2025, at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The event brought together 115 participants from institutions across Louisiana, including LSU Baton Rouge, PBRC, LSU Health New Orleans, LSU Health Shreveport, and Tulane.

 

The day featured twelve oral presentations by students, postdocs, and faculty, alongside a robust poster session and vendor exhibition. Dr. Nick Goeders from LSU Health Shreveport delivered an inspiring keynote lecture on neuroscience, pharmacology, and mental health.

 

Awards were presented to Keyla Pruett (LSU Biological Sciences) for best oral presentation and Sedonia Davis (LSUHSC Neuroscience Center) for best poster. Both received $50 gift cards generously provided by our sponsors.

 

The event concluded with closing remarks, a group photo, and an informal social gathering. The Baton Rouge Chapter extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, speakers, and sponsors for making this event a success and for continuing to build a vibrant neuroscience community across Louisiana.
